Privacy Policy

The New Beautiful Me is a privacy-first tarot and journaling product operated by Cody Jo. We do not sell personal data.

The app now runs on Bunny.net infrastructure with Bunny Database and Bunny Storage. Transactional email is delivered through Postal on infrastructure we operate on Google Cloud Platform.

• Account details such as email address, display name, hashed password, privacy-policy acknowledgement timestamp, and account security state.
• Reading data such as question text, cards drawn, spread type, interpretations, favorites, and reading history.
• Journal data such as entries, prompts, tags, moods, and optional uploaded images. Journal content is encrypted with zero-knowledge WebCrypto encryption; we cannot read your journal entries.
• Daily card draws and mood entries.
• Card notes and custom spread configurations.
• Push notification subscription endpoints, if you choose to enable push notifications.
• Technical and security data such as rate-limit events, operational logs, browser metadata, and IP-address-derived security signals.

• To authenticate your account and store your readings and journaling state.
• To generate readings, save journals, manage uploads, and operate features you explicitly request.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and respond to support requests.

The app is hosted on Bunny.net, including Bunny Magic Containers, Bunny Database, and Bunny Storage. Image uploads are stored on Bunny CDN. Depending on the route a request takes, technical delivery and logs may also be processed through Bunny.net edge infrastructure in additional countries.

When you request AI interpretations or related AI features, the relevant reading context may be processed by our configured AI provider, which can include Anthropic. Transactional email uses Postal or Resend. Aggregate site analytics use Plausible in a cookieless, cookie-free configuration. Plausible retains aggregate analytics data only; no individual user profiles are created and no personal identifiers (PII) are collected by the analytics system.

If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by PayPal. We do not see or store your payment card details. PayPal may process your payment data according to their own privacy policy.

If you access the service from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our infrastructure providers operate.

The New Beautiful Me uses a self-hosted Plausible site entry on analytics.codyjo.com for aggregate product analytics. It is configured without advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, or user-level ad profiling.

Analytics is intentionally separated from account data, reading history, and journal content. We do not intentionally send your email address, saved readings, private journal entries, or uploaded journal media to Plausible.

Where consent is required, analytics stays off until you accept it. Outside those regions, privacy-friendly analytics may load by default, and you can still turn it off from the banner or settings surfaces when available.

When you click “Get Interpretation” or use follow-up chat, pattern analysis, or comparative readings, your card names, positions, and question are sent to Anthropic (Claude) for processing. Journal entries are never sent to AI. You control when AI features are used.

No AI model is trained on your data. Anthropic processes the request and returns the result; your reading context is not retained by the AI provider beyond what is needed to generate the response.

We process account and product data as needed to provide the service you requested, secure the service, and comply with legal obligations.

Registration requires you to confirm that you are at least 16 years old and acknowledge this privacy policy. That acknowledgement is recorded with your account.

The Service offers a free tier (3 AI interpretations per month, 10 saved readings, 2 custom spreads, 10 card notes) and paid Premium plans: $9.99/month, $79.99/year, or $199.99 for a Founder Lifetime plan. Payments are processed by PayPal; we never receive or store your payment card information.

• Account data remains until you delete your account.
• Readings, journals, and uploaded assets remain until deleted by you or removed with your account.
• Operational logs are generally retained for about 30 days unless needed longer for security review or legal compliance.
• You may contact us at any time to request confirmation that your data has been deleted.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, readings, journal entries, card notes, custom spreads, daily card history, mood entries, and uploaded images from our systems. This action is irreversible.

If you are unable to access Settings, email privacy@codyjo.com to request account deletion.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@codyjo.com.

California users may also use a browser-based Global Privacy Control signal where applicable as an opt-out signal for future covered processing.

You may also request clarification of AI-generated interpretations by contacting support before acting on automated guidance.

The New Beautiful Me is intended only for people who are at least 16 years old.

If you believe someone under 16 provided personal data to the service inappropriately, contact us and we will review and delete it where required.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
